This cosmetic dentistry patient wanted a wider smile. When creating a smile that is wider, what the patient wants is to actually close the buccal corridor (space between the teeth and the cheek). This gives the appearance of a full smile which patients often desire. Dr. Gregory Friedman placed upper 10 porcelain veneers giving this patient a natural full smile. Less is more for this smile transformation. Knowing when to suggest less is a skill (and true gift) from a seasoned cosmetic dentist. This patient hit his front two teeth when he was younger. He did not break or chip the teeth at the time of the accident. Often when your teeth are hit or pressure is applied, the tooth nerve can die over time causing the tooth/teeth to darken or appear gray. This is one of our favorite Vegas patients. She traveled to see Dr. Friedman for her smile makeover & quickly became a dear friend. Her smile speaks for itself. Dr. Friedman used a laser to contour her gum tissue allowing her to ‘show more teeth’ requested by the patient. Doc then placed a combination of upper 12 porcelain veneers & crowns giving her that WOW smile. Gorgeous!

What a lil’ cutie! Her braces were completed in 2 phases. Phase I) Expansion at the age of 8 to slowly widen the bite and prevent the patient from needing any teeth removed. Phase II) Advanced traditional braces for only 16 months. She will start using Crest White Strips at home as they cause less sensitivity on her young teeth. Such a beauty!

This patient wanted to improve the appearance of her smile to represent her fun personality. Over time, her bite collapsed from natural wear shortening her teeth as well as the space from her nose to her chin. Dr. Friedman restored her bite with full mouth reconstruction consisting of upper 12 and lower 10 porcelain crowns & veneers. This procedure is often referred to as a dental facelift. “Wow!”

A Challenging Cosmetic Dentistry Case with a Beautiful Outcome

This was a challenging case as this beautiful patient had her laterals (teeth right next to front teeth) removed by a dentist when she was younger in preparation for braces. Her canines were then moved to the lateral position giving her a smile she did not care for. When designing her smile, Dr. Friedman designed her canines to look like laterals & her bicuspids to look like canines. He placed 8 upper porcelain veneers. As the patient said, “the result is simply perfection.”

Not satisfied with the results he visited Dr. Friedman for some aesthetic help.
